TotalMed is designed with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) in mind.
The APPs expect health information to be collected for a clear purpose, kept secure and made available to the patient on request. TotalMed supports each step with role-based access, encrypted storage and patient records you can export when someone asks for their information.
Australian clinics should note that patient data is transferred to and stored in the United States (APP 8). Please review our Privacy Policy for details on cross-border transfers.

Not directly — there's no Xero integration today. Sales, payments and expense reports export as CSV so your bookkeeper can bring them into Xero for your BAS.
TotalMed focuses on private, cash-pay practices such as cosmetic and wellness clinics. Medicare claiming isn't part of the product, so it suits practices operating outside the Medicare system.
Yes — this is our strongest area. The face chart tracks units per injection point, consent forms cover injectable treatments, and aftercare instructions go straight to the patient's phone.
Not as a dedicated field yet. Practitioner profiles hold the name, specialty, schedule and commission; there's no AHPRA number field today. Tell us if you need it on your records.
Yes. Your clinic works in AUD and you set the GST rate in Settings. When a payment includes GST, TotalMed shows the tax amount separately.
TotalMed is built around the Australian Privacy Principles: role-based access, encryption, and patient records you can export on request. Data is hosted on AWS in the US East region, which you can disclose under APP 8.
Yes. Each clinic sets its time zone in Settings, so bookings and reminders go out at the right local time.
