TotalMed is designed with PIPEDA principles in mind, with awareness of provincial variations such as Alberta PIPA, BC PIPA and Quebec Law 25.

What clinics ask us most before switching to TotalMed.
Not directly — there's no QuickBooks integration today. Sales, payments and expense reports export as CSV files you can import into QuickBooks or send to your accountant for GST/HST filing.
Not yet. The interface is available in English and Spanish today. Consent form templates are editable, so you can write the patient-facing text in French.
Each clinic sets one tax rate in Settings. If you charge two taxes, such as GST plus PST or QST, enter the combined rate — separate GST and PST/QST lines per item aren't supported yet.
Yes — aesthetic medicine is our strongest area. Face chart with units per injection point, consent forms and treatment packages are built in.
Quebec's Law 25 adds requirements such as a designated privacy officer and an assessment before personal information leaves Quebec. TotalMed's data is hosted in AWS US East. If your practice has strict Quebec residency requirements, contact us at hola@totalmed.lat before registering — we may not be the right fit today.

PIPEDA covers most private clinics, while Alberta, BC and Quebec have their own private-sector laws, and some provinces add health-specific rules. TotalMed provides the common controls: consent on record, role-based access, export and correction on request.
